 IL DIRITTO MARITTIMO

is a quarterly journal, founded in 1899 by Francesco Berlingieri senior having as its programme the diffusion of the knowledge of maritime law and the promotion of its international unification: a programme that has been pursued during all the one hundred years of its life.

The Journal is divided in seven sections:

ARTICLES
Include articles of Italian and foreign jurists in Italian and other languages (English, French and Spanish). 

CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS
Reports of conferences and seminar on maritime law matter.. 

JURISPRUDENCE
Consisting of a section, wholly int he English language, with summaries of judgments on the interpretation and application of maritime law conventions, followed by sections with thehead notes of judgments of the EC Court of Justice, Italian Courts and Courts of other maritime countries on maritime matters,, all accompanied by commentaries or reference to precedents. The text of the judgments is instead uploaded in a Members Area of the website, accessible with login by the subscribers. The procedure to be followed is indicated in the section Members Area. 

CHRONICLES
With articles on matters of interest.. 

NEWS
With information on events of interests for jurists and for the maritime industry. 

LEGISLATION
With information on maritime international conventions, EU regulations and directives as well as Italian laws and regulations, and from time to time also of foreign national legislation of particular interest. The text of the most significant laws is uploaded in the Members Area of the website.
